The NewBridge Project and Dwellbeing Shieldfield are looking to recruit two new staff members to work with us on The Shieldfield Youth Programme!

The Shieldfield Youth Programme is an ongoing programme of activity developed by Dwellbeing Shieldfield and The NewBridge Project in collaboration with young people living in Shieldfield. Together we are looking to recruit two new staff members to work with us.

We are recruiting a Youth Programme Producer and a Youth Worker. The deadline for applications is Wednesday 24 April and interviews will take place week beginning 6 May.

The Youth Programme Producer will be responsible for project managing the ongoing development and delivery of meaningful youth activity for children and young people as part of the Shieldfield Youth Programme.

The Youth Programme Producer will line manage and lead the youth team. This includes a Youth Worker and Sessional Youth Worker. 

In this new, key role, the Youth Programme Producer will oversee the planning, development, and management of the running of the Youth Programme across development, operations, administration and communication. Working closely with a Youth Worker and Sessional Youth Worker to design an engaging programme of activities that not only meets the needs of young people but has their voice and vision at its centre.

The Youth Worker will be responsible for the ongoing delivery of meaningful youth activity for children and young people as part of the Shieldfield Youth Programme. They will work with the Youth Programme Producer to develop and plan activity that supports the learning and development of young people and creates a positive and inclusive environment for all users. 

This includes getting out and about meeting young people and their families around Shieldfield, running regular sessions which include weekly activities, monthly skills workshops, trips, events and detached youth work, as well as delivering exciting projects with artists.

The Youth Worker will understand the interests of young people and will be passionate about nurturing and empowering the children and young people of Shieldfield to be leaders in the place where they live and address the issues that affect them. They will be committed to creative thinking about working alongside young people as part of the process.
