Membership

Dwellbeing Shieldfield is registered as a Charitable Community Benefit Society (CBS). This means our purpose is to serve the interests of the community. Membership is core to being a democratically run CBS. We are committed to building a membership that fully reflects the diversity of life in Shieldfield so that we can support the flourishing of Shieldfield and its people.

Our organisation is run by three groups:

Stewards are responsible for the overall organisation. Stewards meet regularly to reflect on our programme, discuss ideas for the future as well as manage our membership, communications and finances.

Shieling Working Group is responsible for the public realm aspects of our work, including growing fruit and vegetables, and creating, sustaining and improving community spaces. This programme is in collaboration with Shieldfield Art Works.

Youth Working Group includes young people (aged 12 years+) who live in Shieldfield, a representative of Stewards, and staff members of our partners The Newbridge Project. They will launch a programme of exciting activities for children and young people in Shieldfield.
